Magog

If to describe Magog with just one word - it's contrast. They are wonderful contrasts! Rev Bem from one side and the rest of Magog from the other side.
Rev Bem - showed to be the niciest, the most altruistic "good guy" one could imagine. As a regular crew-member, portrayed very personally. The rest of Magog - cruel anonymous horde, bioweapons borned to kill. Yet, if one thinks about it, they all are Magog, every one of them has to have both sides. Every single Magog in that ugly septic horde - a Rev Bem who haven't made decision to choose this religion, this Way. And Rev Bem - the very same Magog as everybody in that ugly horde, with all the same desires - just has chosen another path.

One of my favourite pairs in "Andromeda" has been Tyr and Rev Bem - because Tyr feared good Rev Bem and had to win himself for every moment in Rev Bem's company, and at the same time there was nothing Rev Bem could do - he hadn't caused it. Tyr, who meets prejudices all the time as he is a Nietzschean, prejudging Rev Bem because Rev is a Magog. Or accepting Rev Bem as a Magog? When this chemistry is there, Tyr and Rev Bem is my favourite pair.
