The purple Trance was just a miracle.

The only one in crew, giving the opportunity to study how all these tough characters communicate with somebody harmless. And to make this harmless character more intriguing, hints, that she really may be not cute and harmless at all. But during the Purple Trance times, the hints were never too obtrusive, because the niche/use of this character, was to give to others opportunity to interact with somebody harmless.

Purple Trance was a perfect manipulator. Apparently much wiser than any of her opponents, as she was able to solve all problems without direct physical violence. Gardener - giving to every individual right treatment to make them to do/want by themselves what she wants. Like flowers to plants, results of her treatments usually became visible much later.

Strenght gives the freedom to choose to be harmless, and one, who can't be killed, shouldn't kill others either.

Apparently the organ, Trance's species uses for thinking, locates in the tail. (And apparently this applies to not only Trance's species, but people, who got the power to make decisions about the show after the first head-writer was fired, too.)  The only use of wannabe-warriorprincess-Trance in the second half of the second season, was to show additional pair of milk-glands. The benefit of demonstrating strenghts is to control others by fear, so Trance showing off that she could be dangerous and trying to not be feared at the same time, just proved that she is an idiot. As the crew had already two tough-girls, one of them super-naturally strong non-human,  revealing Trance's strenghts and placing her into the niche already used by other character, revealed just lack of professionalism in creating character-set.
