Valga Computer Center (Mittetulundusuhing Valga Arvutikeskus (in Estonian)) is an uncommercial union, which was created on the base of computer forms in Valga Russian Gymnasium and Valga Primary School in 1996. From 2003 to 2004 Valga Computer Center publishes the newspaper Walk - russian newspaper for inhabitants of the cities of Valga and Valka.

The main intention of the union:

• To engage in propaganda for computer knowledge among of school pupils and citizens,

• to develope infotechnological base in Valga Russian Gymnaasium ;

the main directions of activity:

• to conduct the computer courses and exams on ECDL - (European Computer Driver Licence) or AO (Arvutikasutaja Oskustunnistus (in Estonian));

• to execute ordered tasks, and tasks of computer configuration;

• to take donations, which are directed to help realizing the main intention of the union.

In Valga Computer Center you can take the next courses:

The Studies are conducted in the evenings, at weekends or on holidays. You can get the instruction in Russian or Estonian languages.

You have in your disposal:

• three computer school rooms and there are 46 seats;
• entrance to Internet;
• qualified teachers;
• software with license.

If you want to confirm your skills, to define your level of knowledge in computer and persuade people around you in your competence and in your computer literacy, you should take care of receiving ECDL certification. Everybody apart from ages and education can get the ECDL certification. You should only pass one or a few exams, which are accorded to your knowledge.
The ECDL certification is valid not only in Estonia but also in other countries like: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, France, Ireland, Italy, Hungary, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, Island of Man, Cyprus. The number of countries always increases.
The ECDL certification has seven modules and each module reflects its individual sphere of modules knowledge. There are all modules of ECDL:

Eesti Infotehnoloogia Selts (EITS) is leading of ECDL certification.
You can pass the exams only in special centers( you can find full information in – http://www.ao.ee/).
Valga Computer Center is one of these centers and we have a right to take ECDL exams.
We have some very good qualified teachers. They have got an instruction and they also have done an ECDL tests too.
You can pass your exams in Russian and Estonian languages .
