TOURISM INFORMATION

Lake Peipsi, a large fresh water lake on the border between Estonia and Russia, is the 4th largest lake in Europe, in Northern Europe. Its shores offer many gems to a visitor interested in history, nature and culture. In the northern part othe lake, there are nice sand beaches, in the middle part of the coastal area, there are vast wetlands with rich wildlife. Those interested in history and culture may visit the villages of the Russian Old-Believers or the Setu people on the South-East corner of Estonia. Lake Peipsi is also rich in fish and a visitor may try their luck almost any time a year. Ice fishing is particularly popular among the tourists.
