I was the firstborn child of artists Magda and Märt Bormeister on
the 22 Of December in 1945.I`d say I lived half of my life in the
Tallinn`s Art Hall, which took me into turpentine flavoured world
of colours.
I have been working as a kindergarten teacher,draughts woman,secretary
and in a photo laboratory.
I have painted sets designed by Fitz Matt,Aime Unt and Tõnu Virve.
Ihave worked at the Theatre and Music Museum, where I became interested
in photography. I have worked as a set-designer myself at the Youth
Theatre, after which I began studying theatre design at the Estonian
Art Academy.
I then however switched to (and graduated from)
the department of painting. I have also studied interior design
and some printmaking at the Estonian Academy of Arts.
I like to paint the outdoor Wilderness, all kinds
of different surface textures existing in nature.Process of painting
is taking place at home (sometimes it is difficult to understand
is it my home or my studio, just so many paintings everywhere, kids
don`t around, kids can run east and west at the same time and still
reach north or south), where I enjoy it all through monotype technique.
Participated in many different projects in relevance
to teaching the monotype technique in Estonia,Finland,Sweden and
Germany. I have taught diplomatic corp.workers (England,Denmark,USA,Finland,Poland
and Norway) here in Estonia.
