There are more than 40 grape varieties tested in Roogoja farm to find out the most suitable ones for our climate. We collected different varieties for our collection from Russia, Latvia, Ukraine, West-Europe, America.

We grow grapes in a plastic greenhouse without heating and near southside house walls. We often have night frosts in spring and so we cover bushes with to protect them. Grapes begin flowering in the middle of June and the first fruits are ready in the middle of August.Sometimes we have in winter -25...-30 C frosts. We cut shoots hard back in autumn, put them near ground and cover with peat. Young grape plants are available around year at our place.

Grapes need cover against night frosts.
