SalonTrio
repertoire encompasses
music that was performed at country estates, aristocratic salons and cafés
during late 19th and early 20th Century. Widespread at that time was a special
genre known in French as "morceau de salon" which included character pieces,
waltzes, tangos, polkas and marches.
One hears selections and fantasias from operas, operettas,
ballets and arrangements of symphonic pieces by I.Kalman, F.Lehar, J.Strauss,
C.Zeller, G.Verdi, G.Puccini, F.Schubert, F.Chopin, P.Tschaikovsky, in addition
to works of many forgotten masters.
