-In 1976 turrets with corundum inserts were introduced for T-72 Ural-1 MBTs. Values in the table are given for those vehicles. Since 1977 turrets with sand bar inserts were used. Values for those vehicles are roughtly equal to T-72M1.

-In early 80s some Ural and Ural-1 MBTs received ERA and additional 17mm armor layer for hull upper nose (as T-72A and T-72M1)
